Campaign Against Closure of Children's Centres in Bucks

This petition is now closed.

The names of everyone who signed has been handed into Cllr Whyte at Bucks CC.

Thank you to everyone who signed the petition.

THE PETITION

Buckinghamshire Labour Parties, and other campaigners, are joining forces to object to the Buckinghamshire County Council's plans to close children's centres across Buckinghamshire.

We are concerned that the impact of the proposals contained within the consultation, “Improving early help services for children, young people and families”, and the resulting undesirable outcomes will fall disproportionately on women and ethnic minorities.

We are also surprised and concerned at the lack of substantive details regarding the proposed re-organisation that will affect many thousands of vulnerable children and young people.

There is a great number of people opposed to these proposals, please join us in demanding that BucksCC reconsider these proposals before they result another failure of BucksCC to live up to their responsibilities to protect and support vulnerable people.
