The Upcoming Budget

Tax cuts to benefit the rich, while services buckle under the strain - while his party wastes £125bn in just 5 years

The Mirror headline that reads "Budget Day blow as analysis finds Tories squandered £125billion in 5 years"

Jeremy Hunt will be making his Budget announcements this coming Wednesday.

As usual, the Tories are planning to make tax cuts in order to save their skins – whilst continuing to strip public services. Meanwhile, the Tories have thrown away £125billion in just five years.

The public isn’t falling for it though. Polling shows that most people would prefer to either increase taxes and increase public spending, or keep levels the same (see below).

We wait to hear more details, but for now – we aren’t convinced that anything in the Budget will be designed to help working people.

The reality is that it is a desperate attempt from the Tories to try and save a few votes before the election. Don’t let them take you for a ride.
