ABOUT US

Welcome to the Aylesbury Labour Party!

We are a community-driven force committed to championing fairness, equality, and progress in Aylesbury and beyond. At the heart of our mission lies a steadfast dedication to the values upheld by the UK Labour Party.

Our work is rooted in the belief that every individual deserves respect, dignity, and opportunity regardless of their background or circumstance. From advocating for affordable housing to fighting for quality healthcare and education, we strive to create a society where everyone can thrive.

We are passionate about social justice, standing up for the rights of workers, families, and marginalized communities. Our efforts extend beyond rhetoric; we actively engage with local issues, listening to the concerns of our constituents and working tirelessly to address them.

Transparency, integrity, and accountability are the cornerstones of our operations. We believe in open dialogue, constructive debate, and inclusive decision-making processes that empower every voice to be heard.

Join us in our journey to build a better, fairer future for Aylesbury. Together, we can enact positive change, uphold progressive values, and create a community where everyone has the opportunity to prosper.

Thank you for your interest in the Aylesbury Labour Party.

Labour: Aylesbury’s Future.

OUR PRIORITIES

Labour’s missions are built on fulfilling our first duty: to protect our country – through economic stability, secure borders and strong defence.

Labour has a long term plan to get Britain’s future back: five fully funded national missions.

MEET YOUR MP

My name is Laura Kyrke-Smith and I live here in Bucks with my husband and three children.

I’m an experienced charity leader and campaigner, supporting people in the UK and in crisis zones around the world, from Ukraine to Gaza. My parents brought me up to care deeply about improving people’s lives, and that’s why I stood to be your Labour Member of Parliament.

Aylesbury and its surrounding villages are brilliant places to live, work and visit. But Aylesbury has been let down by 14 years of Conservative government. Public services are on their knees. The NHS is stretched to breaking point. Our streets no longer feel safe. Our rivers are polluted and residential roads are at risk of floods. Hard-working people, who deserve so much better, have been left wondering how to pay their energy bills and feed their families.

Labour is the change that Aylesbury needs, and I am determined to make that change happen. I will fight for improved health services, for affordable housing and childcare, and for better job opportunities. I want everyone in Aylesbury to feel safe and I want to protect our environment. I will put the people of Aylesbury first and fight for a brighter future for everyone.

I’m tired of 14 years of the Conservatives putting themselves first and failing our country, and I’m ready to change that. As your Labour MP, I will listen, I will respond and I will work hard to make Aylesbury and nearby villages even more brilliant places to live and work in. It’s time for change.

MY PRIORITIES

GETTING THE NHS BACK ON ITS FEET

This includes 2 million extra appointments every year and a named doctor for your family.

BETTER CHILDCARE AND EDUCATION

This starts with free breakfast clubs and mental health support for every school child in Aylesbury.

IMPROVED HOUSING AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Labour will launch Great British Railways, give communities more control of bus services, and build new towns with more affordable housing.

SAFER COMMUNITIES

Labour will get 13,000 extra police officers on the streets, and ensure everyone has a named police officer to go to.

MAKING LIFE AFFORDABLE AGAIN, CREATING OPPORTUNITY

Labour will establish a genuine living minimum wage, and launch Great British Energy to reduce your energy bills.

PROTECTING OUR NATURAL ENVIRONMENT

This starts with severe fines and a block on bonuses for water companies that dump sewage in our rivers.
