The Space Project

Recently, Laura Kyrke-Smith for Aylesbury took a tour of The Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School with some Year 12 students.

"I was very impressed by the emphasis not just on academic achievement but on student and staff wellbeing.

Congratulations Education Support on the work that they are doing to support and advocate for wellbeing nationally."I was delighted to visit Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School to take a tour with some of the Year 12 students.

Thanks so much! We really enjoyed this fantastic visit.

This week, Laura Kyrke-Smith for Aylesbury spoke in parliament on the government's welfare and disability reforms.

"In Parliament, I asked Social Security & Disability Minister Stephen Timms MP whether some of the examples people have raised with me will be considered as part of that review.

The Minister said the Department will consider whether the PIP assessment criteria effectively support the right people at the right level, and will look at the descriptors and will consider the points allocated to them.

I will be monitoring the outcome of this review closely. If you think you might be affected by these proposed changes, I want to hear your views — please do get in touch."

It's great that we have an MP who listens to her constituents, and stands for them in parliament, THAT is what we elected her to do.

Our MP Laura Kyrke-Smith for Aylesbury has just heard from the Dept. Health and Social Care!

"I am delighted that Stoke Mandeville Hospital will be receiving a new DEXA scanner, providing my constituents with key diagnostic tests for conditions such as osteoporosis.

The Local Council elections are over, the dust has settled!

While it was a disappointing result for us, we congratulate the candidates who won.
We also believe it important that our neighbours are properly and accurately informed of who is representing them; we believe accountability is essential for democracy. Here are your councillors.

Every single one of our candidates gave their days, nights, and weekends to the biggest campaign we've ever done in Aylesbury — we kept it clean, positive and aspirational, just as we did in the General.

We are so proud of our candidates - they gave their all and stood for Aylesbury's residents and values.

Between us all, we walked over 2 MILLION steps across Aylesbury, knocked on thousands of doors, spoke with tens of thousands of residents. It is clear to us that, whoever you voted for, EVERYONE wants BOLD and ambitious changes for Aylesbury's roads, schools, traffic, water, and beyond.

We hope the winning candidates will fight for these improvements; we know Aylesbury Labour WILL.
We may not have won a council seat, but we're looking FORWARD, to the future, with our parish seats and our MP Laura Kyrke-Smith for Aylesbury, who fights every day for every person living in this town, and the surrounding villages.

Whatever you may think of the national party and the government, Aylesbury Labour always has and will always share the interests of the working people of this town.

We will campaign to protect your rights to safety, good health, and to have your voice heard.

Thank you to everyone who supported us, voted for us and shared your stories with us - we aren't done here.

Well said - onwards and upwards

Credit to Mark - I met him on the doorstep and we talked about local issues and challenges. I believe he would hve been a good voice for local people and issues.

What would Pitstone be classed as? Which Aylesbury section?
