The recent local council elections have pretty much take up all of our time in the last month or two, but now is a good time to start planning our spring and summer activities and events.

There will therefore be an open Executive Committee meeting on 5th April at 19:30, to set the ball rolling, and the meeting location will be confirmed on Tuesday.

If anybody has any questions or wishes anything added to the agenda, please email chair@aylesburylabour.org.uk

Local council elections in other parts of the country have shown that people are fed up with the Conservative's continued strategy of austerity which is hitting social services, our public services and the most vulnerable the hardest, while continuing to allow big business, and the wealthiest in society, to get away without paying their fair share of the tax burden.

The LibDems have proven themselves ineffective as an alternative, and are in fact more often seen as collaborators and in collusion with the Tory's strategy to destroy and then privatise our public services.

You would expect elected local Councillors to protect and run YOUR local services properly, so why aren't they able to?

Aylesbury’s predominantly Tory council is simply following the Conservative's national strategy to privatise, or cut, YOUR local services, with total disregard for OUR local needs – is that what you elected them to do?

Vote LABOUR in the Central & Walton By-Election for a local voice to fight for Aylesbury’s public services before its too late…

With more LABOUR Councillors you will get more Councillors fighting for your public services, new, innovative and alternative solutions and most importantly scrutiny and accountability of Council decisions to hopefully stop a repeat of the terrible and costly failures that have been made in the past.

Central & Walton By-Election, 22nd March,

Vote for Phil & Liz your LABOUR candidates and get Councillors who care.
